JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION:  Prisoner Extradition Agent

American Extradition Specialists, is interested in men and women experienced in law enforcement and or corrections.  

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: 

American Extradition Specialists, is a nationwide prisoner/inmate and parole transportation & extradition company that requires long distance travel, long driving hours and extended time away from home. Temporary
 relocation may be necessary. (Agents that relocate for any amount of time will be paid full per diem).

To provide armed guard services for prisoner transportation/extradition interstate and intrastate. Provide superior service to law enforcement agencies nationwide, and diligence toward the protection of the prisoners and to the public when necessary.

$300.00 Uniform Allowance Per Year
*You must supply your own weapon 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
At least 23 years of age.
High school graduate or equivalent GED.
Previous law enforcement or corrections experience.
P.O.S.T. reserve/basic academy, ACA certificate or similar credential from law enforcement.
 
ABILITIES: 

  1.    Must have a valid Drivers? License and clean driving record. Prior DUI conviction less
         than 10 years may disqualify candidates. Agent must be insurable with company.

  2.    Literacy and fluency in English. Spanish bi-lingual is of interest to A.E.S. 

  3.    Ability to move quickly in response to emergency situations. 

  4.    Report writing skills. 

  5.    Ability to deal with violent situations by verbally defusing them or by physically     
         restraining a violent person. 

  6.    Ability to rapidly run and avoid obstacles.

  7.    Must be able to bend, lift up to 65 lbs. and to carry the weight up to 20 feet.

  8.    Must be able to drive for long durations. 

  9.    Computer literate. 

10.    Excellent judgment.

Candidates are required to pass an oral board, background investigation, submit to drug and alcohol testing, and DOJ & FBI fingerprint background. 

Candidates are required to pass A.E.S. training program (120 hours), and be able to obtain all applicable certificates including First-Aid and CPR, guard card, EVOC driving course, and exposed weapons permit.

Abilities, functions, other duties, mental and physical demands, requirements and licenses are not meant to be exhaustive. American Extradition Specialists reserves the right to revise job descriptions and to require other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change.

Along with completing the application and background package, you will be required to submit Copies of:

·         Law Enforcement Academy Certificates
·         Law Enforcement Training Certificates
·         Birth Certificate: Copy OK.
·         Social Security Card: Copy OK
·         High School Diploma or GED Certificate
·         Driving Record: Current
·         Proof of Automobile Insurance
·         Credit Report: Current *Note: This is not strongly considered toward disqualification.
·         First-Aid & CPR Certification if Current
·         CCW Permit if you posses one. CCW is not required.
